What to Expect!

Why Continuous Assessments Matter

Adapting to Growth

As your child grows, their needs and abilities change, sometimes faster than we expect. Continuous assessments ensure that their plan evolves with them, so they always have the right support at every stage of their development.

Catching Challenges Early

Kids don’t always show their struggles right away. With ongoing assessments, we can catch small issues before they turn into bigger challenges, helping prevent frustration and setbacks down the road.

Building on What Works

Beyond addressing challenges, ongoing assessments help us spot your child’s strengths and use them to fuel further growth. Every win, big or small, becomes a building block for their future success.

Consistency and Clarity

A one-time assessment can tell us a lot, but your child’s journey doesn’t stop there. Continuous assessments keep us on track, providing a clear, up-to-date picture of their progress and ensuring we’re always moving in the right direction.

Long-Term Success

Like parenting, therapy is a marathon, not a sprint. With ongoing assessments, we’re not just reacting to behaviors as they arise, we’re being proactive, creating a long-term plan that adapts to your child’s changing needs and sets them up for lasting success.

Have More Questions?

We have answers!

  • The amount of hours are determined by the BCBA during the child’s assessment!

The average amount of hours is about 20 hours of direct therapy a week but varies greatly depending on the child’s needs.

  • Direct ABA therapy can be conducted in the Child’s home, School or Daycare center. Some factors such as the child’s level of need and Insurance provider may restrict the service location further.

  • Our session average 3 hours per technician per day, but will not exceed 4 hours. If the child is prescribed to have more hours of ABA in a given day, there will be a break in place for the child and a switch in technicians

  • This depends on the number of hours the child’s insurance authorizes. Children authorized with 10 or less hours of ABA per week will typically have 1 technician assigned to their case. For each 10 hours of authorized hours, there will be an additional technician assigned to their case.

Example: Child is authorized for 40 hours of direct ABA therapy will average 4 assigned technicians to their case

  • This depends on the child’s current goals. All goals will be written in the child’s Plan of Care and can be reviewed with their assigned BCBA.

Most sessions look just like play! The trained technician will work on communication, socialization, and functional living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.
